The Institute for Infectious Diseases (ifik) performs diagnostic microbiology tasks in the fields of virology, bacteriology, mycology, parasitology and immunological infection clarification. It is the only university institute in Switzerland in the field of clinical microbiology to combine all microbiological specialty disciplines under one roof.
